Tasting Notes

Martine Nouet

Nose
A similar profile as the previous one. More biscuity maybe. Not very expressive.
Palate
Sweeter at start, then becoming watery and cheering up on spices at mid palate. Chesnut purée. Becoming tannic.
Finish
Short, dry, spicy.
Comment
Oak plays a bigger part there. Spices dry up the demerara sweetness. Nothing much to write home about though.

Dave Broom

Nose
Here we go again...the same character, this time with more sulphur, fresh fig, dried fruit and chocolate more depth.
Palate
Oily, similar to the 10 Years Old, slightly thicker. Sweet, caramel, black banana, molasses.
Finish
Thick.
Comment
The base spirit seems very sweet. Lacks class.
