Nose
Shy, fruity sweetness. Apple blossom and apple jelly with a creamy toffee touch. Palate
Sweet and fruity. Quite refreshing. Apple juice. Candied ginger. Water brings out citrussy aromas and a touch of sawdust. Finish
Dry and spicy with an oaky grip. Comment
A fruity/spicy profile. Rye whisky shines through. Refreshing on a hot summer day.
Dave Broom
Nose
Stewed plums, grape must with some butteriness behind. Palate
Very scented. Rosewater then the classic Canadian flow of sweet cream and a little nuttiness. Dried fruits dominate. Collapses with water. Finish
Splits into spirit and dried fruit. Comment
Everything turned up to 11, but that can’t hide its clumsy character. More bolted together than blended.
