- Fresh and nutty, raw green vegetables and phenols.
- Palate
- Toffee, cooking oil and insistent smoke.
- Finish
- Almost herbal, with increasing peat reek.
- Comment
- Bold, well-balanced example, most drinkable.
Dave Broom
85- Nose
- Direct and phenolic. Frying bacon fat, cabbage, silage, fish boxes, damp coal bunker. Some lifted citric notes, camomile. Smoke.
- Palate
- Young with real power and attack. The smoke appears from half way but is balanced by a sweet centre. Oily, rich, even salty (oops!).
- Finish
- Smoky bacon, camomile, clove.
- Comment
- A young cracker. Don't pass this up.
