Nose
A charred/smoky/liquorice note to open with followed by sweet concentrated hedgerow fruits. A little rubbery with water suggesting the distillate was not fully matured.
Palate
Firm, with some wet wool. All in all, quite grippy, suggestive of double wooding. The fruits which are there on the nose are encased.
Finish
Rhubarb, a little bitter.
Comment
For me the finishing element has just been just a little overdone.

Nose
Musty. Wet wood. Fungal. Makes me think of a walk in a damp forest, with decaying branches scattered on the ground. Hint of bonfire smoke. Some sweetness tones these notes down.
Palate
Sweet and bitter. Orange drop. Something of Campari. Water enhances the bitterness. Smoky.
Finish
Drying, still bitter. Medium long. Warm if not burning.
Comment
Obviously a wine finish.
