- Nose
- Initially, it's grass, light chalk dust then some cream. As it opens out comes
blossom, banana and cinnamon.
- Palate
- Decent weight and suppleness with just sufficient spiciness, ginger especially, to balance those opulent fruit notes.
- Finish
- Apricot.
- Comment
- Another deliciously drinkable dram from an increasingly impressive bottler.
- Nose
- Fruity and malty. Apple jelly. Barley sugar. Golden syrup. Appetising. Like walking in a Norman orchard in autumn when the crop of apples are being picked.
- Palate
- Smooth and round. The same apple character. Sweet and balanced. Dry
spices (allspice and ground ginger).
- Finish
- Sweet, drying on liquorice root notes. Rather short.
- Comment
- A pleasant whisky, definitely autumnal and uplifting.
