- Nose
- Peaty, earthy. An animal note, like the straw from the cowshed. A slight custardy aroma brings in a
sweet touch.
- Palate
- Smooth at start, then alcohol tickles the tongue but remains quite tame. A fresh aniseed flavour.
Sweet grassiness.
- Finish
- Dry, fresh, with a slight astringency.
- Comment
- A solid dram. Rough and ready. The malty sweetness helps balancing the high strength. Invigorating.

- Nose
- Ice cream and caramel but with water, dirty murky note.
- Palate
- Scrungey, flat and immature.
- Finish
- Not nice.
- Comment
- A rough and ready youngster that shouldn't have been let out on its own.
