Tasting Notes

Martine Nouet Nose Rich, intense. Fruity. Fig molasses. Overcooked plum jam. Prunes. Tamarin juice. Maple syrup. What an aromatic concentration! Palate Smooth at first then developing into a dry spiciness. Ginger, Tabasco. Dried apricot. A smoky hint. Finish Dry, warm and lasting. Comment Quite a strong character. Uncompromising warmth. Good balanced. You need to like it hot to enjoy the dram.

Ian Wisniewski Nose Crème brûlée, chocolate, sticky toffee pudding with dried fruit emerging mid-way, accented by citrus freshness. Palate Creamy, silky, beguiling, with crème brûlée, fruit trifle, chocolate cake, then luscious fruitiness, orange marmalade, apricots and citrus. Finish Subtle, dry oak balances creamy, fruity, citrus and chocolate notes. Comment Composed of two distinct parts that add up to an impressive and balanced total.
