- A Christmas stocking that contains toffees, chocolates, perfume and soap.
- Palate
- Very lightly syrupy. Chocolate. Soft caramel. Suggestions of Mars Bars or Rolo chocolates.
- Finish
- Fruity, with a touch of winey acidity.
- Comment
- The cask character somewhat dominates this zesty but delicate whisky.

- Woody, resiny. Oak with cedar. Good variety of spices (cloves, cardamom). Fruit aromas hardly emerge, just an orangey hint.
- Palate
- Robust without being agressive. Sweet malty and honeyed flavours, then liquorice.
- Finish
- Warm and lasting. Liquorice and spices.
- Comment
- The Sauternes finish mellows the oak; but unsatisfying, except for fans of wood.
