Nose
Creamy. Hint of ground almonds. Palate
Medium to full body. Firm, smooth. Apples and pears, freshly peeled and cut. Fruit salad. Finish
Quick touch of caramel dryness. Oranges in caramel. Comment
More mature than its 10 years would suggest. Fruitier than the conventional distillery bottlings. Refreshing. Like sorbet between courses.
Dave Broom
Nose
An interesting nose: red fruits, (redcurrant, raspberry) then sultana and other dried fruit, struck matches, rubber, mushroom, oak. Palate
Sweet and malty to start. Cherry and sultana cake with sloe, black fruits and raisin. Finish
A little hard. Comment
The nose suggests this was in sherry before being in Port. Has Glenrothes character but a bit dry.
