Nose
Big and oily but with a wild fruit character: rowanberry jelly, tomato purée, Madeira cake. Palate
Drier than expected with a peppery kick. The waxiness is immediately there, clinging to the tongue while the smoke emerges half-way along. Great length and best with a drop of water. Finish
Rich, clinging lightly smoked. Comment
Elegant and highly individual. Takes no prisoners.

Nose
Christmas cake mix. All spice. There is also evidence of phenols, though not peat or smoke, more like oil paints or floor polish. Palate
Some burnt buns, a rich underlying raisin toffee sweetness and a grassy peat. Finish
Light rubberiness and some more of that peat, although in subtle quantities. Comment
A big spirit tempered by a characterful cask. Very enjoyable.
