Tasting Notes

Martine Nouet Nose Sherry, tobacco leaf. Huge notes of sweet oloroso. Shoe polish. Cloved orange, smoky wood. Palate Smoothness meeting sweetness. Christmas cake flavours, dark chocolate. Finish Sensuously lingering, laced with spices. Smoky aftertaste. Comment Pure mastered (and mastering) oloroso style. But where is the spirit contribution?

Dave Broom Nose Lots of oloroso notes: rubber, walnut, dried fruits. Palate Good weight, nutty, soft, silky and fruity with some turfy smoke. Finish Sweet and sherried. Comment Good, but it could be any heavily sherried malt. Lacks an individual personality.
