- Nose
- Sherry, tobacco leaf. Huge notes of sweet Oloroso. Shoe polish. Cloved orange, smoky wood.
- Palate
- Smoothness meeting sweetness. Christmas cake flavours, dark chocolate.
- Finish
- Sensuously lingering, laced with spices. Smoky aftertaste.
- Comment
- Pure mastered (and mastering) Oloroso style. But where is the spirit contribution?

- Nose
- Lots of Oloroso notes: rubber, walnut, dried fruits.
- Palate
- Good weight, nutty, soft, silky and fruity with some turfy smoke.
- Finish
- Sweet and sherried.
- Comment
- Good, but it could be any heavily sherried malt. Lacks an individual personality.
