Nose
Cheerful. Lots of butterscotch. A sweet grassy profile. Dry hay. Toasted buns. Palate
Rich and sweet with a fresh lemony touch. Malt sugar. Honeyed cornflakes. Finish
Long and warm. Crushed almonds. Green cardamom. Comment
So different to the Douglas Laing Clynelish. The perfect whisky with farm cheeses.
Dave Broom
Nose
Rich, fat, oily/waxy. Ripe, soft fruits, fruit jelly, pork fat, and also honey on buttered white loaf. Big, oily (waxed jackets/wet kelp), toasty. Gutsy. Palate
Great texture with a slight (balanced) toastiness. Soft orangey fruit. The oily/waxy feel smooths it all together. Rich and mouthfilling. Finish
Long and lush. Comment
Very good with a slight maritime edge.
