Nose
Biscuity, buttery. Apple jelly. Like walking in an orchard in September and stamping on fruit fallen from the tree, dried leaves and wet grass. Palate
Oily, thick, very sweet. Autumn fruit syrup. Apples, a touch of quince. Wood well integrated. Finish
Sweet, with a slight dry spiciness. Some nuttiness maybe. Comment
A very gentle and fruity whisky. Would have benefited from a balancing dryness.
Dave Broom
Nose
Broad. Dried mango, light cereal, furniture polish. Very soft and fruity. Slightly dulled by water. Palate
Macadamia nut and cooked apple, toasted almond and then into black fruit. Finish
Dries suddenly. Comment
Starts out as a great big floppy labrador of a whisky, then there’s a abrupt change in gear towards the finish.
