Nose
Fragrant, with that hint of nutmeg, but subtle and complex spiciness. Palate
Rich, with cream and honey flavours. Reminded me of Atholl Brose. Finish
Firm spicy. Comment
Rounded. On the sweet side.
Dave Broom
Nose
Slightly turfy nose with orange peel, saddles and dried heather but also a touch of solvent. Water makes it a little more scented-geraniums, wood polish. Pretty rich but also dry. Palate
The oak is well-polished and maybe a little too upfront but there's a good mix of ripe, dark fruit and walnut behind. Finish
Fruit, then dries. Comment
The oak is a little heavy.
