- Nose
- Vegetal peatiness, but hardly a monstrous note.
- Palate
- Crisp, clean, peaty dryness. Develops some medicinal notes.
- Finish
- Bittersweet.
- Comment
- A monster? As compared to earlier creations from the same house, but don't expect mass hysteria on Park Avenue.

- Nose
- Vanilla, cream, smoke. Very intriguing. Draws you in.
- Palate
- Peat, smoke. Burning peat fires.
- Finish
- Long but relatively austere.
- Comment
- More dour than I was expecting but this whisky will have many devoted adherents. Another winner from Compass Box.
