Tasting Notes

Dave Broom

Nose
Light, grassy and floral with subtle perfumed mixed spice. In time there’s vanilla sugar, tangerine, lemon, a whiff of dry stuff, some old apple and with water an exotic note like hoisin sauce.
Palate
A direct, sweet start smooth middle then a gear shift, spices come through with sweet citrus.
Finish
Sweetness and spice. Tingling, then dry.
Comment
Perky, smooth yet firm and spicy. Clever stuff and hugely drinkable.

Arthur Motley

Nose
Warm and enticing, honey and Kalhua. Sweet, toasted oats and golden syrup. Mint chocolate, some orange and peach. Some ginger and cloves too.
Palate
Soft and honeyed. Sweet maltiness and brown toast, a little grass and fruit.
Finish
A little toasty oak.
Comment
Structured and classy, an anytime drinking. Inclusive and populist without being dull.
