Tasting Notes

Dave Broom

Nose
Sweetly peaty: smouldering bonfire, violet, hazelnut/pecan pie. Gutsy.
Palate
Lots of orange peel, dried fruits giving another layer of interest to the slow-burning fire which starts from the middle of the tongue.
Finish
Little green, suggesting it could improve still further.
Comment
There’s real substance here. Well-integrated.

Gavin Smith

Nose
Floral, with a background note of silage.
Palate
Nicely balanced, with sweet, warmleather, fruit notes, and a hint of fresh peat.
Finish
Lengthy, quite sophisticated, slowly drying.
Comment
A very drinkable and comparatively complex dram.
