Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson Nose Dry. Junipery. Palate Flowery, creamy. Berry fruits. In the background, a cucumber-like vegetal character. Finish Very mild, but some leafy, herbal, dryness and late salt. Very long. Comment Caol Ila can be a little gin-like. This bottling could be served like a Pimms. Mind you, no gin has such a long finish.

Dave Broom Nose Fragrant peat with a kumquat lift and a slightly bitter edge. Medicinal with a touch of beach bonfire, fishing nets. Light and straightforward. Palate Bone-dry it starts with crisp malt, then dry smoke. A slightly perfumed quality. Gentle. Finish Smouldering and dry. Comment A good attractive introduction.
