- Nose
- Dry. Junipery.
- Palate
- Flowery, creamy. Berry fruits. In the background, a cucumber-like vegetal character.
- Finish
- Very mild, but some leafy, herbal, dryness and late salt. Very long.
- Comment
- Caol Ila can be a little gin-like. This bottling could be served like a Pimms. Mind you, no gin has such a long finish.

- Nose
- Fragrant peat with a kumquat lift and a slightly bitter edge. Medicinal with a touch of beach bonfire, fishing nets. Light and straightforward.
- Palate
- Bone-dry it starts with crisp malt, then dry smoke. A slightly perfumed quality. Gentle.
- Finish
- Smouldering and dry.
- Comment
- A good attractive introduction.
