Tasting Notes

Martine Nouet Nose Buttery. Nutty. Pine nuts. Vanilla. Aniseed. Hint of coconut milk. Palate Smooth. Grassy. Green apples. Kiwi. Star anise. A certain weakness at mid-palate. Fresh feel all the way through. Finish Grassy, slightly astringent. Comment The bourbon cask inflluence is obvious. A refreshing dram but simplistic. Water ruins it.

Dave Broom Nose Light and fragrant. Perfume-like. Hyacinth. American cream soda, apple pie. Balanced, vanilla, oakiness. Some weight and complexity. Palate Sweet and direct with an unctuous feel. Apples, raspberry shifting into papaya and, with water, peanut oil. Blossom-like. Finish Fresh, clean and zesty. Comment Seems delicate but has real presence.
