Nose
Slight nutty sherry. Dried citrus skins. Sweet grass. Palate
Orange zest, lemons, faint syrup. Cream. Honey. Finish
Orange zest. Gently gingery balancing dryness. Comment
The light touch of sherry helps bring out the soft, fruity, flavours.
Jim Murray
Nose
Sharp lemon drops are blunted by caramel but the fruity, lime-zest freshness is appealing and intense. Palate
Immediate fruitiness; very chewy malty middle with some bitter oak. The caramel slowly dulls everything. Finish
Again, the caramel dominates. Flat, uninteresting, lacks length and depth. Comment
Starts brightly enough but the caramel character prevents the whisky taking off.
