80- Nose
- Buttercups, clover, sweet grass, honey and a tender touch of sherry.
- Palate
- Flowers softened and sweetened by sherry. Honey, junket, very lightly nutty dryness.
- Finish
- Candied angelica, honey-coated nuts.
- Comment
- A deft balance between the whisky's own character and the sherry.

80- Nose
- A hint of smoke and plethora of other delicate aromas. Primroses and sandalwood, faint marzipan and passion fruit. Stunning.
- Palate
- Delicate, with very firm malt and gentle spice.
- Finish
- Relatively flat, dependent on a burnt mallow and vanilla oakiness.
- Comment
- Fabulous whisky, though never quite living up to the expectation built by the astonishing nose.
