Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson Nose Buttercups, clover, sweet grass, honey and a tender touch of sherry. Palate Flowers softened and sweetened by sherry. Honey, junket, very lightly nutty dryness. Finish Candied angelica, honey-coated nuts. Comment A deft balance between the whisky's own character and the sherry.

Jim Murray Nose A hint of smoke and plethora of other delicate aromas. Primroses and sandalwood, faint marzipan and passion fruit. Stunning. Palate Delicate, with very firm malt and gentle spice. Finish Relatively flat, dependent on a burnt mallow and vanilla oakiness. Comment Fabulous whisky, though never quite living up to the expectation built by the astonishing nose.
