- Nose
- Smoke. Char. Earthy. Rose bay willow herb.
- Palate
- The floweriness of Glen Albyn is dominated by musty cellar character. There is a fine line between Maderisation, positive oxidation, and stainless.
- Finish
- Just when I was swinging into criticism, the whisky emerged fresh, sweet, lively and delicious. Calvados? Coffee pralines. Mint creams.
- Comment
- Fuller in flavours, and sweeter, than I remember Glen Albyn.

- Nose
- Quite light and pleasant: toasted nut, dried grass, sandalwood.
- Palate
- Attractive but not a mouth filler, instead it runs down the middle of the tongue. Well balanced though with spice, soft sweet fruit and a little toffee.
- Finish
- Short.
- Comment
- Attractive.
