Nose
Hints of winey fruit. Palate
Hazelnuts. Good flavour development. Nutty, marshmallow, toffee, cookie-like maltiness. Finish
A hint of coconut. Elusive spiciness (nutmeg perhaps?). Comment
The delicacy of the Glen Grant survives here.
Dave Broom
Nose
Perfumed (almost artificially so): pot pourri, strawberry chews. Flattens with water, also rings out a cereal character. Palate
Dry, almost papery feel, sweetened by the berries in the middle of the palate. Finish
Sweet and winey. Comment
The port is trying to give this some life, but ends up dominating.
