- Nose
- Very fruity. Cherries. Peaches.
- Palate
- Syrupy-sweet. Firm. Fruit and nuts in bitter chocolate. Toasted nuts.
- Finish
- Slight woody bitterness. Enough to balance the sweetness, but too little to offend.
- Comment
- Lovely glowing colour. A big Glenlivet, more robust than complex.

- Nose
- Dense. Tobacco leaf, apple bowl/dried apple, stewed fruit, rum and raisin, cold tea.
- Palate
- Chewy, concentrated and sweet, (cream sherry?). Treacle. Big sherry influence and firm grip.
- Finish
- Dry bracken.
- Comment
- The cask overwhelms things slightly.
