- Nose
- Insistent pepper and some malt.
- Palate
- Some initial smoke, unexpected weightiness, quite mouhtcoating and malty. Pears, mixed spice, and melon – especially when reduced.
- Finish
- Hot, salt, with oak notes lingering.
- Comment
- Perhaps 12 years in the cask is slightly too long for most Rosebanks. This does not seem a particularly well-behaved example.

- Nose
- Floral. American cream soda, fizzy sherbet, lemonade. A little water concentrates the aroma well. Has delicate complexity and a dry edge.
- Palate
- Fragrant. Icing sugar, elderflower, polished wood. Light and rather fragile.
- Finish
- Sweet. Grapes dusted with icing sugar.
- Comment
- Like lace on the palate. Treat carefully.
