- Nose
- Fresh, ripe, sweet, apples (a burnished gold, like the whisky). Mouthwateringly appetising.
- Palate
- Perfumy. Expressive. Rounded. Greets with a firm kiss. Intense. Pastis. Crèpes. Tarte tatin. Clovey.
- Finish
- Spicy but very gentle. Caressing, soothing.
- Comment
- A delicious afterdinner malt.

- Nose
- Light, creamy and sweet. Toast, vanilla ice cream, basil/anise, butter and sugar folded together. In time a note of pewter and bracken.
- Palate
- Gentle and light, though leaner than the nose. Tight grippy oak, glimpses of peach between the slats. Fine grip. Cashew nut with water. Butter.
- Finish
- Softens slightly, custard.
- Comment
- Well balanced if just a little oaky.
