- Nose
- Touch of smoke, dried grass, moss. Then apple, nut oils, toasted coconut, vanilla pod. Finally out come sweet spices and calf leather, toffee. Complex and sophisticated.
- Palate
- Intense and highly spiced. Honeyed with a sweet/savoury/spiced combination.
- Finish
- Very long and silky. Smoke gives another dimension.
- Comment
- Give this lots of time. Do so and you will be richly rewarded.

- Nose
- Sweet sponge cake, marzipan, iced gems and a little chalkiness. With a little time and water pale sultanas, root ginger and floral notes appear among a strong lemon character.
- Palate
- Sweet, lots of vanilla, but with ginger powder spice too.
- Finish
- Candied fruits and a touch of smoke.
- Comment
- Elegant, complex and still forceful. It took water and developed well, holding its structure and continuing to interest.
