Martine Nouet

Nose: Perfumy. Floral. Carnation. Dry cider. Crushed fresh hazelnuts. Quite a rich aromatic profile.
Palate: Sweet, with a good fruity profile. Wine gums. Nice creaminess.
Finish: Medium, pleasant sweetness.
Comment: A mild character, soft and pleasant but lacking nerve. Fine for a sweet tooth.

Dave Broom

Nose: Allspice, light cooked fruit, green plum, sour cherry, pomegranate, apple skin, a little hint of musk. Ripe tropical fruits. Rich and layered.
Palate: As sweet as the nose suggests, but this has an extra grip and acidic kick to add interest and structure. Better without water, but well balanced.
Finish: Firm mix of fruit and oak.
Comment: This has better balance than most of the rest on show. Dares to show individuality.
