Tasting Notes

Martine Nouet Nose Perfumy. Floral. Carnation. Dry cider. Crushed fresh hazelnuts. Quite a rich aromatic profile. Palate Sweet, with a good fruity profile. Wine gums. Nice creaminess. Finish Medium, pleasant sweetness. Comment A mild character, soft and pleasant but lacking nerve. Fine for a sweet tooth.

Dave Broom Nose Allspice, light cooked fruit, green plum, sour cherry, pomegranate, apple skin, a little hint of musk. Ripe tropical fruits. Rich and layered. Palate As sweet as the nose suggests, but this has an extra grip and acidic kick to add interest and structure. Better without water, but well balanced. Finish Firm mix of fruit and oak. Comment This has better balance than most of the rest on show. Dares to show individuality.
