- Nose
- Light to medium. Sweet, toffee apple, lemon sponge cake, lime Starburst, soft fruits and a little coconut cream/sherbert. With water, there's fresh oak, tarte tatin and peach.
- Palate
- Slightly dumb start, then it flows into succulent grain which softens further with water. Slow, easy and sweet with a mix of butter and light dried fruit.
- Finish
- Orange zest and malt.
- Comment
- Spicier than the standard, but the lifted purity of flavour which defines the
house style is there.
- Nose
- Very soft at first then this honeyed note builds, breakfast cereal, apples and runny honey. There is also more wood coming through now with coconut and jucy fruits.
- Palate
- Takes a little time to show its true colours then becomes graceful and elegant. Balance of grain spices and that juicy fruit from the nose.
- Finish
- Quite long and warming.
- Comment
- Raises the bar from the standard blend, the tickle of age has helped.
