Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson Nose Mint, liquorice, anis, raisins. Palate The same components in the flavour. Against a rich, velvety, malt background. Nutty malt flavours, too. Finish Faint balancing peat and smoke. Quite long. Comment The extra years serve Cutty well. It is confident, expressive, expansive.

Dave Broom Nose Rich, muscular, sherried nose: liquorice, tar, runny treacle, incense. Water brings a light mintiness with a drift of perfumed smoke. Palate Big soft and sweet. Treacle again, this time with cold tea, chocolate orange and beautiful balance between grain and malt. Finish Long and soft. Comment Cutty with rippling well-oiled muscles. Well done!
