Nose
Delicately flavoured peat. Even more delicate sweet malt background. Palate
Austere. Cereal grain. Dry. Passion fruit. Bittersweet. Finish
Glowing. Long. Comment
I loved the aroma. After that the stern, impenetrable palate was frustrating but in keeping with the mood. A good, old-fashioned Speysider.
Dave Broom
Nose
Juicy and rather pretty. Orange, lime, malt. Becomes fruitier in time: pear juice/fresh pineapple. Quite tense. Palate
Hint of mustiness but good weight. Fruit syrup. Seems to dry and tighten from mid-palate back. Finish
Dry, grassy. Comment
More about feel than flavour. Seems pent up.
