- Nose
- Delicately flavoured peat. Even more delicate sweet malt background.
- Palate
- Austere. Cereal grain. Dry. Passion fruit. Bittersweet.
- Finish
- Glowing. Long.
- Comment
- I loved the aroma. After that the stern, impenetrable palate was frustrating but in keeping with the mood. A good, old-fashioned Speysider.

- Nose
- Juicy and rather pretty. Orange, lime, malt. Becomes fruitier in time: pear juice/fresh pineapple. Quite tense.
- Palate
- Hint of mustiness but good weight. Fruit syrup. Seems to dry and tighten from mid-palate back.
- Finish
- Dry, grassy.
- Comment
- More about feel than flavour. Seems pent up.
