- Nose
- Warm, malted milk. Bitter chocolate. Slightly smoky.
- Palate
- Dry. Liquorice. Rooty. Sappy. Woody.
- Finish
- A suggestion of quinine. Iron tonic. Medicinal. Astringent.
- Comment
- A very odd Macallan. Perhaps a very odd cask.

- Nose
- Direct and malty. Fresh and light. Seems young. In time a summery mix of cut watermelon, cucumber, grass. Hint of smoke. Clean.
- Palate
- Medium bodied with good feel. Honey, malt, peat and balanced oak.
- Finish
- Dry. Hay-like.
- Comment
- Though a little short has more substance than the rest of the range.
