- Nose
- Very floral and elegant, lemon tea, then some darker, more smoky aromas emerging.
- Palate
- Lively, vanilla, ice cream soda, honey.
- Finish
- Agreeably citric, surprisingly zestful. Dries out more when reduced – the only real hint at its age.
- Comment
- With some Dufftowns you are glad when you've had enough. This is a well-made example which has been matched by very good bourbon wood.

- Nose
- Nutty (brazil, cob) but rounded with dry oak, vanilla/coconut and mint. Fresh apple juice/cider, stewed fruits. Mature. Fading a little. A dusty edge.
- Palate
- Putty drying to maltiness. Light nut oil feel. Crisp and light with decent balance.
- Finish
- Dry and oaky.
- Comment
- Interesting, but without the overriding character to make it great.
