Nose
Very floral and elegant, lemon tea, then some darker, more smoky aromas emerging.
Palate
Lively, vanilla, ice cream soda, honey.
Finish
Agreeably citric, surprisingly zestful. Dries out more when reduced – the only real hint at its age.
Comment
With some Dufftowns you are glad when you've had enough. This is a well-made example which has been matched by very good bourbon wood.

Nose
Nutty (brazil, cob) but rounded with dry oak, vanilla/coconut and mint. Fresh apple juice/cider, stewed fruits. Mature. Fading a little. A dusty edge.
Palate
Putty drying to maltiness. Light nut oil feel. Crisp and light with decent balance.
Finish
Dry and oaky.
Comment
Interesting, but without the overriding character to make it great.
