Appetising. Delicate. Lightly malty sweetness blending into slight smokiness.
Palate
A rush of spring water, then sticky. Juicy. Fruity.
Finish
Lively. Explosion of spiciness. Hot.
Comment
Whatever its age, this whisky is full of youthful vigour.

Nose
High oak notes. Starts tight and slightly citric and grassy then into fir and deepens to cooked fruits, plasticene and a heavy floral perfume (iris/lily).
Palate
Good depth. Sweet fruitiness-apple juice, nutty. Increasingly firm and oaky.
Finish
Dry, nutty.
Comment
Shows good complexity, just tipped slightly into the oak camp.
