Nose
Conference pears in butter and lemon. Lemon toffees. With water citrus remains, toffee diminishes, and meadow flowers bob in the sun. Palate
Tangy, with a fun balance between citric and sweet. Floral too. Finish
Floral and lightly drying. Comment
Very pretty and summery. A good antidote if you feel you might be turning into a phenol-guzzling loony.
Owen Barstow
Nose
Caramel; milk chocolate. Some vanilla or fudge. Underlying spirity sharpness points to youth. Menthol. Palate
Big and fat. Sweet. Buttery and creamy. Then tangy. Becomes more streamlined with water. Pears and custard? Finish
Some late aniseed-like bitterness. Fennel? Comment
More appealing in the mouth than the nose would suggest, and benefits from water.
