Nose
Tangy. Slightly butyric. Boiled vegetables. Dry hay. White chocolate. Palate
A bit harsh. Astringent. Cereal bowl. Honey comb. Pear compote. Finish
Lingering but astringent. Drying on toasted nuts. Comment
The strength is a bit aggressive. And oak is not well-integrated. Tastes like a too young fellow.
Dave Broom
Nose
Orange Smarties! Very candied then comes balsa wood, dust and very high alcohol burn. Despite that, it’s a little dull. Water makes it slightly musty with a note reminiscent of woollen jumpers. Palate
Much, much better than the nose. Quite high-toned: powdered almond, chalk, grass; then the sweetness unfolds into gentle, pure apricot fruit. Finish
Jalapeno peppers. Slightly grubby. Comment
Not quite enough interaction between wood and spirit.
