- Nose
- Green fruit crispness. Slight acidity. Dusty, chalky top notes. Faint turpentine and resin notes? Balsam? More rounded, toffee notes with water.
- Palate
- Tart. Peppery. Dusty dryness. (Lemon juice?). Fresher with water.
- Finish
- Drying and quite abrupt, but not unpleasant. Artichokes. Faintly smoky.
- Comment
- Puts me in mind of an aged Tequila, with a big splash of lime.

- Nose
- Almond pastries dusted with icing sugar. Very raisiny, with butterscotch and lemon peel too. With time more citrus/sour notes appear, along with more floral character.
- Palate
- Very drinkable at cask strength, with a corn-like character, grassy and citric (orange perhaps).
- Finish
- Medium length and dryish.
- Comment
- A pleasant summery kind of dram.
