- Nose
- Toothpaste/spearmint, macadamia nut but with slightly harsh alcohol behind. Water brings out a waxy note.
- Palate
- Sweet, with a lovely peach jam quality which impresses after a let-down of a nose.
- Finish
- Gentle smooth hint of smoke.
- Comment
- Decent enough, and the palate is lovely, but somehow you expect more after 24 years in the cask.

- Nose
- Orange, mixed peel, dried papaya and ginger. Subtle swirling smoke and some sweet medicinal character, like Pink Dettol. Some malty, nutty cereal character.
- Palate
- Lime starbursts, marmalade and fruit syrup. A great malty body.
- Finish
- Sweet, oaky and a little smoky.
- Comment
- A great body wearing flattering clothes, the oak showing off the spirit's considerable curves in a classy way.
