Nose
Fragrant. Almond milk. Orange pekoe tea. Some yeasty notes. Creamy toffee with water. Palate
Sweet start, the alcohol bite tickles. Pleasant toffee flavours, a touch of candied lemon peel. Still burning with water. Finish
Hot, spicy. Tabasco. Comment
The high strength makes it difficult to tame even with water. Some like it hot. But my palate waves a white flag.
Dave Broom
Nose
High alcohol. Limoncello light wood (ash) camomile/scented grass then guava and mandarin. Slightly vegetal. Palate
Sweet and concentrated with clove, kumquat and a hint of clove. Finish
Long and spicy. Comment
Manages to corral a number of disparate flavours well.
