Tasting Notes

Dave Broom Nose Damp hay and coal dust with some farmyard notes. Cheese rind and penetrating alcohol. Sulphurous. Palate Biscuity, then liquorice soon overtaken by a dank note like a wet cellar. Lacks mid-palate oomph. Finish Suddenly appears to improve, but then the sulphur returns. Comment I find it a little grubby.

Arthur Motley Nose Butter, kiwi, apples and peardrops. Spritzy with grapefruit and lime, but a little sharp and bordering on metallic. An ovaltiney background and a sweet egginess, like custard tarts. Palate A robust cereal character, plums, vanilla and some nutmeg. Finish Milk chocolate. Comment Put off slightly by that combination of sharpness and sweet egg, but pleasant enough.
