Tasting Notes

Dave Broom Nose Layered and complex. Murray mint, stewed fruit. Water brings toffee, scented wood, vanilla pod. Deepens to treacle toffee, a lift of ginger biscuits, and dried peach. Elegant. Palate Everything on the nose plus an added spiciness dried flower, Turkish delight, hot pine. Finish Long slightly oaked but still fresh. Comment A dazzling quality you only get when cask and spirit have been in a long slow dance.

Arthur Motley Nose Ripe melons and sultanas. Sawdust and a lightly antiseptic Savlon note. With a little more time mango, white chocolate and a lemon butter icing. Palate Raisins, lemon biscuits and a toasty oakiness that is almost lightly medicinal. Finish Spicy oak. Comment Elegant, complex and satisfying.
