Nose
Estery. Acetone then almond, lemon verbena, green tea, lime blossom moving to cut grass. Sharp and firm. Palate
Better than the nose. Fragrant though with surprising depth. Direct and sweet. Good grip and decent balance. Finish
A little bitter. Comment
Of interest, but not great.
Arthur Motley
Nose
Behind fruitiness is a curious earthy and mechanical character, exhaust fumes and rusty cans, and maybe even a little tarriness. Palate
Some stewed fruit and some oaky, cinnamon spice suggesting age. Finish
Drying, tingling oak leaving a lasting bitterness. Comment
A strange cask, which has produced an unusual malt whisky. Could be to some people’s tastes but not mine.
