Nose
It’s green! It might be the colour, but there’s a green olive brine/feta cheese note alongside creosote covered twine. Minty oily with some smoke. Palate
Improves on the palate, oily and rich with fair grip. There’s light coal smoke and the cheesy note doesn’t intrude. Good length and balance. Finish
Juniper and little smoke. Comment
A quirky little number. Well worth a look.
Martine Nouet
Nose
Spirity. Seems very young. Grassy. Freshly cut lawn. Lemon grass. Palate
Sweet with a cheesy back note. Finish
Tangy, not revealing much. Comment
That baby needed to be cradled in oak a few more years. It can hardly mutter a few aromas. Or is it just a maturation in a tired cask?
