- Nose
- Lurid colour. Toffee, nutella and cereal dryness to start, then becomes increasingly sulphury.
- Palate
- More tannic than you expect, the sulphur like a firework on the palate. Lacks elegance and balance.
- Finish
- Bitter.
- Comment
- “Sweet and sulphury”now, there's a catchy brand name.

- Nose
- Sulphury, woody. Walnut stain. A hint of date. The sherry cask chokes the whisky.
- Palate
- Dry, sour, astringent. Oak juice, and not much more.
- Finish
- Of the same metal as we say in French! Wood, wood, wood...
- Comment
- A good example of cask tyranny. The sherry acts like a tsunami. Makes no quarter!
