Tasting Notes

Dave Broom Nose Lurid colour. Toffee, nutella and cereal dryness to start, then becomes increasingly sulphury. Palate More tannic than you expect, the sulphur like a firework on the palate. Lacks elegance and balance. Finish Bitter. Comment “Sweet and sulphury”now, there’s a catchy brand name.

Martine Nouet Nose Sulphury, woody. Walnut stain. A hint of date. The sherry cask chokes the whisky. Palate Dry, sour, astringent. Oak juice, and not much more. Finish Of the same metal as we say in French! wood, wood, wood... Comment A good example of cask tyranny. The sherry acts like a tsunami. Makes no quarter!
