- Nose
- Intense. Rich oak. Thick cut marmalade. Candied chestnuts. Bittersweet chocolate.
- Palate
- Crisp and grippy. So oaky. As if you were chewing wood chips. Very bitter and harsh like sanding paper.
- Finish
- In the same tonality.
- Comment
- I had a suspicion at first nose. Then it seemed to open on rich aromas. But the palate unfortunately confirmed my apprehension. Can't see the point in drinking wood!

- Nose
- Frank Cooper's marmalade, stewed oranges with brown sugar syrup. A little tomato stalk bitterness.
- Palate
- Plenty of oak here. The wood sap grips the tongue. Burnt sugar.
- Finish
- Short with that wood lingering.
- Comment
- A big whisky for wood fans or that last dram before bed.
