- Nose
- Serious. Good weight, with lots of caramelised peach, some fruit cake, red cherry, hard toffee, lime marmalade alongside some macadamia and tisane.
- Palate
- That cherry comes through alongside cigar wrapper. Water moves it to sweet, honeyed, soft fruits, vanilla and double cream with masses of nutmeg and great length. Balancing grip.
- Finish
- Spices. Good length.
- Comment
- A smooth, steel fist in an ornate velvet glove.
- Nose
- There is a nuttiness that comes with age, burnt brown sugar with an orange zest lift. A zip of citrus, lime lemon then dried fruits take over.
- Palate
- Custard egg tarts with cinnamon and nutmeg. The fresh citrus comes through as well with an oak influence tying all together.
- Finish
- Long and engaging.
- Comment
- Dismiss this relative youngster at your peril, serious stuff.
