- Nose
- Very aromatic. Distinctive. Fresh. Lavender. Ferny. Peat smoke.
- Palate
- Soft but insistent smokiness over a clean, sweetly malty background.
- Finish
- Creamy, with a savoury note reminiscent of seaweedy pretzels.
- Comment
- Bowmore is a great malt. Let's see more of it in straightforward ages.

- Nose
- Complex and fresh scented. Lightly maritime. Concentrated light honey flavours and maple syrup when reduced.
- Palate
- Maritime. Pretty friable; the addition of water doesn't help.
- Finish
- Very short and drying.
- Comment
- Confusing. Lightness of nose is contradicted by strident palate. It promises a lot but doesn't deliver.
