Tasting Notes

Martine Nouet

Nose
Light but tangy. Lemon zest, dry hay. Lemon grass. Fresh and lively.
Palate
Malty, sweet. Cereal bowl. Grassy. Garden mint. White peaches. Pleasant mouthfeel.
Finish
Rather short but clean.
Comment
A straightforward refreshing dram. To be sipped on a summer afternoon. I would easily drop one or two ice cubes in my glass.

Michael Jackson

Nose
Not especially forthcoming. Tends to flat, dusty caramel notes. Waxy and minty.
Palate
Sweet and salty. Warming and gingery. Unexpected but definite coastal touches – iodine?
Finish
Firm, chewy and ever so slightly phenolic.
Comment
Uninspiring nose more than compensated for by challenging and surprising palate. Appetising.
