Nose
Toffee and fudge. Malty. Barley sugar. Fresh mash. Apple skin. White chocolate. Palate
Round. Alcohol is perfectly integrated. Sweet maltiness developing on fruity flavours. Ripe bananas. Tickling spices. Ginger, a hint of tabasco. Finish
Spicy, nutty. Comment
A classic malty beast. Well balanced. A winter warmer to enjoy with nuts and crispy nibbles.
Dave Broom
Nose
Slighty oily, cut grass powdered almond. A discreet vetiver like scent develops but that turpentine note never quite disappears. Palate
Oily in texure, clinging to the tongue mandarin. Light creaminess. Delicate. Finish
Rice crispies. Comment
An aperitif best taken by 10am. Has identifiable Linkwood character but it’s all rather muted.
