- Nose
- ?Spirit, with a blast of dark caramel, a touch of spice. Some vanilla notes come through, alongside some beautiful fragrant chocolate-?coated Turkish delight.
- Palate
- ?Delicious stewed plum and dark leaf cigar combo. Sweet tea, mixes with a dusting of liquorice, some superb creamy topped tinned fruit and white chocolate.
- Finish
- ?A little thin, but the sweet fragranced notes stay with you.
- Comment
- ?Some will say this is bottled at too high a strength – I might have to agree with them, but the core of this whisky is excellent. One to disagree over.

- Nose
- ?Huge alcohol notes at first. Some sweetness eventually comes through, Rose water, butterscotch sweets, blackcurrant cordial, strawberries and black pepper.
- Palate
- ?That alcohol hits like a huge wave, close behind it comes oatcakes and butter. Oxford marmalade. There is a fruit salad note too. A little chocolate coated apple.
- Finish
- ?Swift and drying, with those rose water notes lingering.
- Comment
- ?There is a lot in this whisky once you back that alcohol with water. Great stuff.
